Who Is Ambrus the Pale Master?

Ambrus the Pale Master is an ancient pureblood vampire who oversees the border quarantine between Sanguis Valley and the Royal Bastion. He serves as the climactic boss encounter of Act I, testing your mastery over parrying, time resource allocation, and silver blade mechanics.

Phase 1 Strategy: Teleportation & Parry Windows (100% – 60% HP)

During the first phase, Ambrus circles the arena and executes predictable three-hit claw combos:

1. Shadow Blink Strike: Ambrus disappears into black mist and reappears directly behind you.
   • Counter: Wait 0.5 seconds after he vanishes, then press block (L1/LB) for a Perfect Deflection.
2. Sanguine Projectile Volley: Fires three blood needles in a wide fan.
   • Counter: Sprint sideways or cast Transfusion Ward from the Blood Magic tree detailed in /guides/skill-trees/.
3. Leaping Impale: Ambrus leaps into the air and plunges downward.
   • Counter: Roll forward beneath him to expose his back for a heavy critical strike.

Phase 2 Strategy: Blood Frenzy & Swarm (60% – 0% HP)

At 60% HP, Ambrus roars, sprouting giant bat wings and coating the crypt floor in corrosive blood mire:

• Blood Vortex: Ambrus hovers in the room’s center, pulling you toward him while raining dark lightning.
  • How to survive: Do not attempt to run against the pull. Use Mist Dash to dodge through the outer perimeter ring.
