Who Is Emberfang the Ash Warden?

Emberfang the Ash Warden is a corrupted draconic vampire beast guarding the eastern exit of Sanguis Valley in The Blood of Dawnwalker. Defeating him is essential for progressing toward the border gate before the /guides/30-day-time-system/ timeline forces a lockdown.

Phase 1: Fire Claws & Flame Breath (100% – 50% HP)

During the opening phase, Emberfang tests your basic defensive fundamentals:

1. Flame Claw Double Swipe: Swings left then right with burning claws.
   • Counter: Execute two consecutive deflections using skills from /guides/skill-trees/.
2. Sweeping Flame Breath: Breathes a 120-degree cone of fire across the ground.
   • Counter: Roll forward through the fire arc to attack his exposed flanks.
3. Leaping Ember Slam: Leaps into the air and crashes down, sending out a shockwave.
   • Counter: Jump over the expanding flame ring and punish with a heavy silver strike.

Phase 2: Ash Enrage & Lava Eruption (50% – 0% HP)

At 50% HP, Emberfang ignites his wings and coats the arena floor with lava pools:

• Lava Geysers: Cracks on the floor erupt with magma after a 1.5-second delay.
  • Strategy: Keep moving constantly and avoid standing on glowing orange ground cracks.
• Apex Dive Bomb: Takes flight and swoops across the arena at high speed.
