FAQ

How much time does the Prologue give you?
The closing main quest Bad Blood is built around roughly five night time segments — not days, and not the unofficial word ticks. Spending them all does not cause a game over; it just closes off the outcome where you save your family in time.
What can you actually miss in the Prologue?
Two things are documented: the timely family-rescue outcome in Bad Blood, and the start of Anca's side questline. Everything else that circulates as a 'must-do' prologue collectible is currently not documented.
When is the point of no return in the Prologue?
Leaving Laslea at the end of Bad Blood is the boundary; the valley is not freely returnable later in the same run. The exact in-game trigger and any confirmation prompt are pending manual review as of patch 1.0.0.

What Can You Miss in The Blood of Dawnwalker’s Prologue?

The prologue of The Blood of Dawnwalker takes place in Laslea and its Laslea Glen. Your character, Coen, is chasing the family that Brencis, the Knyaz of Vale Sangora abducted, and the chapter closes on the main quest Bad Blood. That sequence is time-boxed to roughly five night segments of the /guides/30-day-time-system/ — the game’s official unit is the time segment, so treat the community shorthand “tick” with care.

Only a couple of things in the prologue are genuinely, verifiably missable, and they both revolve around time.

Confirmed Prologue Missables

1. Saving Your Family in Time (Bad Blood)

Push through Bad Blood at Laslea Glen and reach your family before the night segments run out. Miss the window and you lose the “save everyone” outcome — and the Gold trophy attached to it — but the game does not end; the story continues toward the confrontation with /bosses/brencis/. Which ending you can still reach is tracked on /guides/all-endings/.

2. Starting Anca’s Questline

Anca offers the opening of a side questline inside the prologue. Talk to her before you leave Laslea if you want it; how far the questline carries into the main game is pending manual review, so this page only documents the fact that it begins here.
